Beginning Again

Where The Trees Grow has been around for a while.

There was a website before this one. I uploaded photographs, had ideas, made plans… and then life wandered off with my attention span.

The photography stayed.

I still notice the light through trees, old buildings, odd little details, empty paths and the sort of thing that makes me stop mid-walk and say, “Hang on, I need a photo of that.”

What’s changed is that I know a bit more clearly what I want this place to be.

Not just a gallery of pretty pictures. A home for the photographs, the stories behind them, the places I wander through, and the thoughts that tend to follow me around.

There’ll be trees. Obviously.

There’ll also be The Little Things, my book that has been “nearly ready” for an impressively long time. More on that soon. Apparently I mean it this time.
